Good thing this wasn’t end game content, there’d probably be immune to heal reversal as well
This is too much. I was looking forward to opening some featured crystals, now I don’t want to touch the game.
I powered through with Apoc to open a featured Crystal
Yeah, I wish I’d just given up
Ouch. I’ve already pulled her. She wouldn’t be too bad if it wasn’t so difficult to stack all her Zones up. She resets to 0 quite quickly and damage doesn’t scale too well at max potential.
I'm completing V8 by exploring each chapter before moving on so I don't have a completion run down, but this variant in general so far just doesn't feel fun. I would have liked if mercs were boosted in some way. Pretty sure my 2* Deadpool was outperforming my 6* merc champs lol
a duped gwenpool could do this fight if it wasn't bugged: -100% DAAR can prevent the node from removing debuffs and enervate can make the fight much easier, but VP will removes all debuffs if you parry him (bug, nothing in the description says that he would purify pre-existing debuffs) and for some reason when I tried to close/re-open the app to save myself a revive from a combo that I shouldn't have taken (don't want to pay for kabam's errors) I got KO'ed, and it was the first of the night so I should have been recovered... not going to try again until kabam doesn't change the nodes or fix the game (possibly both, but I know I'm asking for too much) -.-
Hey all, I'm having this looked into. So, besides the fact that it looks like you need a non-merc to complete this fight, can you tell me exactly what the problematic experience with this Boss is? Want to make sure I get the info right for the team.

Let's see where to start -Benefits from Smorgasbord are reversed in about 2 seconds with the regen -There are only very specific counters that can reverse/block healing, even less with debuff shrug off -Of the few counters, they all have 95% damage reduction -Best counter so far requires 3 champs + a mastery that costs over 1100 units

I think the regen is the problem, 1%. There is no way of dealing with it or reversing it with the merc champs. If that wasnt there it would be better.

Well mainly the fact that there is no way to deal with the 1% regen. No mercenaries nullify buffs so can't go that route. Can't use debuffs to reverse regen because they don't stick. Currently there are like 2-3 options and 2 of them are just RNG based (Domino and YJ).

Venompool is purifying debuffs that are already applied to him. Awakened Gwenpool reduces the opponent Defensive Ability Accuracy by 2% for each hit in the combo meter, so after 50 hits she can prevent Venompool from removing debuffs when struck, but she obviously can't prevent the Parry's stun from being shrugged off. The problem is that the moment that I parry Venompool when I already have debuffs on him he will actually remove all debuffs and not just the stun, and this isn't in the node and makes that fight close to impossible. It's the same problem that King Groot has, where he can removes debuffs that were already applied when a new one is applied.

The problem is that you need both a Mr. Fantastic (Which not everyone has) an Apoc (Which not everyone has) and 3/3 Despair (Which not everyone has)
Remove Smorgasbord and whatever the regen node is and we have a fair boss

Venompool can remove buffs and normally he would work great against another VP, but I tried with my maxed five star and still wasn't able to outdamage the regen, nor I was able to use enough specials to constantly remove the regen, even with 10 furies active...
@Kabam Miike how about not making it an end game niche fight. After all this is not suppose to be end game content and you have end game/act 7 nodes on the boss

Healing is primarily dealt with using heal block or reversing. The vast majority of heal blocks in the game are debuffs, and the vast majority of reversing regen are debuffs too. The third way is overpowering the regen.
Here, this fight gets rid of almost every way to counter it. No debuffs are allowed, unless you use Apoc and mr fantastic. Or sabretooth with KM synergy. So you can’t reverse regen like that. MODOK and YJ are the only champions who can passively reverse regen, but MODOK can’t do it full stop, and YJ is a tough fight based on RNG of charges and of the opponent throwing specials.
Passive heal blocks are largely out of the question because no champions who have passive heal blocks are mercs, so you will have 5% damage while you passively heal block them. Also, likely class disadvantage since that’s a very tech trait - Peni, Psychoman etc
Outdamaging it is largely out of the question with the 5% reduction. Leaving you to try and out damage with a Merc. Domino is long but possible, sabretooth with the poison deadpooloid is possible but requires Sasquatch to ramp up.
It’s such a niche fight, you’re left with 3 serious counters and a bunch of ridiculous ones. Apoc, sabretooth or domino. And those are the “serious ones”
after years of playing, I really think I'll stop playing. I'm no longer in the mood for all these mistakes and stupids in the game. at least I'll save a lot of money on Black Friday

1) The 1% regen is too powerful combined with the 500% increase in Health. You can’t outdamage the regen and it overrides the degen from Smorgasbord. In fact, it doubles up with the regen from Smorgasbord making VP almost impossible to take down.
2) VP is essentially Stun Immune. You can’t parry VP because Smorgasbord purifies the Stun *even prior to* parry.
3) None of the Mercs have the utility to deal with these nodes. Or the bonuses for that matter.
Currently bugged game, with poorly tested content, and the result being an impossible final boss that needs a perfect fight with a combo of champs to get down (both not being the group of Champs this variant is intended for).... If you die, and you got to restart the quest... I'm officially boycotting cyber weekend sales now with this BS and the September and October tied side events that had poor notice and explanation. Thanks for the waste of time, resources, and units on this one Kabam. Unreal that I really enjoyed Act 7.3 in its entirety that I did right before this variant compared to this ridiculous Venompool fight. I really hope there's a compensation for this!

Got her from both a featured 5* and a featured 6* within 30 seconds of each other after finishing 🤦🏻♂️
