Personally I think 2 rank 4 6* champs would have been a more natural curve. Since the previous title required you to have completed a story mode and either do a big piece of content (abyss) or explore the act. Having the requirement of 2 would have increased the need to explore the act AND do big content (carina challenge). But whatever. It will come when it comes.

This announcement should have come out with the release of 7.4. I skipped that offer because it was trash IMO. But I would have bought it if I knew a new progression tittle was just around the corner.

To obtain the designation of Paragon, you must complete Act 7 Chapter 4, and have 3x Rank 4 6-Star Champions in your Roster.
When we said that this is for those that have done everything, we meant it!
While we wanted this next progression level to be a challenge to obtain, it was also important to us that we did not put this out of reach for skilled Summoners that choose not to purchase 6-Star Rank 4 Materials, and that this remains accessible (though difficult) for all Summoners to obtain, regardless of their monetary investments.
With that in mind, we made sure that on day 1, it was possible to do for a Summoner that has:
Completed all of the Story Content in-game
Completed all of last year’s Summer of Pain objectives
Completed Carina’s Challenges (Volumes 1 and 2),
Plays in a higher tier competitive Alliance
I'm super stoked about this!!! Hard work, dedication and time spent is paying off to achieve this. I'm ticking the boxes from the checklist above (completing everything to offer) and been doing it F2P and can say I have the 3 r4s to be Paragon on Day 1 🤘🏼

Of course I did! I didn't get x3 r4 from casually playing the game. I do grind the arena quite a bit and also make sure I have the units for all of the big July4th & Cyber Weekend offers, and make sure I have units available for sporadic offers like 7.4 etc. I also have NEVER used units to buy a Cavalier crystal. I have routine and it generally involves getting every single 22hr solo unit (even EQ completion), 100%'n all EQ modes, arena etc to have the units/battlechips to still try and compete at the highest levels in AQ & AW. I would not say what I do is anywhere close to normal when compared w/ most F2Ps & obviously I don't come close to the spenders but Paragon is achievable on day 1 for a F2P guy pending on what you do in the game and how you allocate your resources.
I also don’t buy offers and grind out units content.
I spent 10k grinder units on 7.4 offer and have 2 carina AOL paths left. Currently I have 2 r4 and 4.5 t3a, 2.75 t6b… so clearing carina gives me plenty spare to get the title.
So agree it is possible if choose how to spend your earned units.

I would love it if it was 2 r4's. I missed summer of pain because of a long vacation and with carina challenges I could get 2 at the moment. I will have to wait for three sad enough.

Adding that I also completed the Grandmaster's Gauntlet, and bought the unit offers there as well on cyber monday, and 4th of july (although I don't remember if those had rank 4 materials in them).
Having said that, it is not possible for me to have a 3rd rank 4 champion. Luckily I recently got the champion to use the gem I got on act 7, so that will sort my 2nd option.
So, how's that? Even with additional ways of getting these materials than the one's that were pointed out, it is still not possible for a player like me to get a 3rd rank 4 champion. So clearly something must be wrong there with your calculations.

This is the first time that I’ve really felt that a new progression title was solidly locked behind a pay wall. I’m fairly certain I could 100% all in game content and still not have 3 rank 4 6*s.
This is not meant to be accessible to everybody the day that it drops, the same way the Thronebreaker was not, and is a new title to grind and fight for.
Thronebreaker was accessible from the start by doing 100% on Act 6 or a single Abyss clear

I am a very old player. By no means a whale but definitely not a zero spender. I have completed 100% act 7 (and all of book 1) - every variant - 100% summer of pain and 100% gauntlet. I cherry picked carina challenges. I bought max unit deals in both previous Black Friday and July 4th deals. I bought the 10k unit deal at the end of 7.4.
And so, as you can imagine, progression wise - after 6 years in the game, I feel that I should be at the top.
DESPITE ALL THIS I only have 2 r4 six stars and only half the rank up materials for a 3rd, and so fall short on the new Paragon title. How could this be? This is really maddening. It will definitely make me think again before spending a dime on a game that looks at my efforts and spits in my face.
At least act 6 had a full t5cc as a reward for exploration allowing you to become thronebreaker of you did the content. Needing 3 r4 champs makes paragon have nothing to do with story progression, please correct me if I’m wrong.
Unless eternity of pain comes out RIGHT NOW and allows me to compete my progression, I will be forced to reconsider my devotion to the game, especially if I will again be shafted come July 4th deals…

Stop expecting to be handed everything on day1 because you feel entitled you should. There are others above you, they either spent to get there or completed all content (and I mean all), or both. You are not "at the top". There are thousands of players above you. Stop whining and get to finishing content.
This title will be the top progression level for a long long long time. It shouldn't be available to everyone on Day1

Is it really time to kill this game further or end my misery once for all to quit this clown fiesta of a video game and to move on with life as there seems to be no end for end game players like me, would not be surprised for another title within late next year after this bullshitty paragon title … oh boy, lets do this again … seems like this push also intends to affect the deals for deadpool’s spring cleaning, and its not like with new in-game title pay to play players get to spend even less from offers from these game … i guess the really next question will be when 7 stars eventually comes out and majority of the players base can quit this game finally … game is gonna be pure elitist and more of a survival of only the maddeningly skilled game …
So come July, spend all your money to get the next tier with our "amazing" deals
The 10k Act 7 units "deal" suggests they see the value of the title as about $2000 right now. May drop over time but that's the benchmark. Personally, that – and the apparently unstoppable introduction of gear – doesn't motivate me to invest money in the game.
As I understand it then, if you didn't complete the temporary content of Summer of Pain a year ago, and if you didn't save enough units to get the deal for act 7 completion you're unable to get the next title.
So if you didn't get the above 2, you're not on the outside looking in because there's no way to make up that shortfall right now without spending.
Boiled down, If you have not already done the things required to get Paragon, you will be unable to get Paragon before having it will give you a bonus in content rewards or offers.

A majority of F2P players that have 3x R4 Champions (yes, they do exist) purchased the 10k Unit Offer at the end of Act 7 Chapter 4. For those that did not, or still have content to complete/missed SoP, there is still content coming that will help you get to Paragon.

Even with that offer, it is still not possible. There is still something missing. And I'm adding points that I completed and aren't listed in the first post, like Grandmaster Gauntlet and offers.
Keep in mind, the first rank 4 champion that a F2P could get came with the full T3 alpha on the Carina's volume 2 challenges. Not even eith the fragments. I'm excluding gifting crystals from the equation here of course. So ever since those challenge arrived, how was there enough materials for the 3rd rank 4 champions, if none were added apart from the T3 alpha on this months side quest?

I’ve only spent on about 30k or so T3A, and I’m not in an alliance that gets it from AQ or AW. I’ve done all the content that allows me to get rank 4 materials except some of Carina 1.
Minusing the 30k away from spending and adding 20k from carina means I would be around 2 T3As away from getting 3 rank 4s without spending and just completing content.
It’s like some of you are allergic to working towards things. I’m happy to have something to work to and aim for.
They’ve said R4 materials are going to become more common, not everything is designed to screw people over. Spending deserves to have give an advantage, if it gave no advantage people would stop spending and bye bye game.
Having something to aim for is great. But, I think the real question is, will people like you (and other non-big spenders/top alliance players) reasonably be able to achieve Paragon by July 4th. I'll be about 3 T3A away from my 3rd after I finish Carina's 2 next month. To me, it's going to be pretty tough to justify spending on Thronebreaker deals when the Paragon deals will be so much better. And missing out on 2 months of slightly upgraded daily crystals and 1 month of a slightly upgraded log-in calendar are nothing compared to missing out on a progression level worth of July 4th deals.
