All I want to know is has anyone who struggled against UC difficulty tried it again now ?
Well, first I must say that I'm probably bad at playing or I don't know, the truth is that before today's nerf, in UC I managed to finish 3.1 using revives, in 3.2 I barely reached the boss with 2 characters alive, now I was able to do it with 4 but , it is impossible for me to kill him, after using 7 revives (between team revive and single lvl 3) and life orbs, the maximum I get is to left him at 50%, and then he starts to rise and I finish at 80% of health. Always using only the weakest path, all other paths are impossible for me at present. In my case it is NOT worth continuing like this, I returned to the game last week after 1 year, I will wait until February and if it continues like this, unfortunately I will have no choice but to quit the game...
Happy to report that changes to EQ and SQ difficulty tuning have been made in-game. As previously mentioned, you will still notice an increase to the difficulty but it should be much more approachable now.
How do these changes impact this month’s legends run and those who attempted it before these changes?
@Kabam Miike anyone know anything about this? I did a legends run the night it dropped and now it's nerfed. I would have waited but my time at that difficulty is going to be way too long.
All I want to know is has anyone who struggled against UC difficulty tried it again now ?
Haven't done EQ, but went back to the side quest and found it far more manageable. I did one path of the side quest on threat level 3 last week and was a bit discouraged when I found it more difficult than legendary usually was (and I'm not at a skill level where I normally find legendary a breeze, but something I have been pushing myself to improve at the last few months). Gave both threat level 3 and 4 another shot today and noticed a drastic difference in both, much closer to what I would have expected from epic and legendary in previous months.
The game team has continued to look into the changes in difficulty and the impact it's had on accounts at each difficulty level. They are considering changes but are trying to make sure the adjustments they would make would hit the sweet spot.
Overall, this will likely still result in an increase to each difficulty, but to a more palatable level. We should specify that being able to auto-run content is not a priority in these tunings. That doesn't mean you will be unable to do so, it just means it is not a guiding element.
Any changes to the difficulty tuning would require a mid-build update, which, to over-simplify, is fairly rare and will require some time and a particular process to implement.
Please continue to be patient as we reevaluate these changes.
so basically in the end we're getting higher difficulty (and therefore it will take longer to play) without getting a boost in rewards? Doesn't sound like a pro player move....
So given that uncollected rewards are what they are (and don’t even get me started on lower levels) why would anyone explore any of this content when it can’t be done with autofight and the rewards are hopelessly dated?
This is the thing right here. If anything, rewards should be updated to reflect the current progression of the game. Instead, they keep the rewards the same and make the difficulty harder.
Sure, "makes sense" from a business standpoint (it really doesn't), but for the user, its further incentive to give up. Someone perfectly stated that if you worked the same job for years and suddenly they said "we're gonna work you harder and longer now but you're still getting the same pay" you'd rightfully tell them to F off.
FYI to those asking: Contender has been nerfed to a global node of +400% attack and health. It was previously separate nodes of attack and health being upped. Not sure what, but I think attack was +500%. Proven has been changed to +400% attack and +600% health, down from 500 and 800 respectively.
Its difficult but its fun. was tired of cavalier difficulty being not close to be difficult..its was like butter but now m having fun with tb difficulty.

They bumped the difficulty with 400% knowing people would complain, then adjusting it down to plus 300% and we feel happy about it, cause we got something.
the question still remains, why was it bumped? I think they are trying to force us into another direction, hhhmmm maybe bg's.
for the same amount of effort and time you can do BG's with way better rewards once a months and by making the monthly quest a major drag they get the people playing BG's and thus return on their investment. BG's are done, no major work needed, so why spend effort on making monthly quests so force people away from them and into your cash cow.
While I appreciate the slight reduction in difficulty, without any change in rewards it should be returned back to how it has been in the past.
There should be a 300-400% increase in rewards to match the 300-400% increase in the defenders values, as it takes 300-400% more time and effort. In its current form it’s hardly worth investing the time into doing the MEQ.
I don’t get what’s so hard to understand for those posts calling out ‘skill issue’ etc etc. A lot of it is to do with time for myself personally. I don’t want to spend double the amount of time that I usually spend on 100% uc difficulty.
I’ve seen posts saying use different teams to those who are struggling with the difficulty level now. Again…do u really think the majority of the community has time to fail halfway thru a quest, exit and try again & again & again? However I still think if it’s that hard all Kabam is doing is turning off players wanting to continue progress.
Another guy says spend a day farming revives…lol again…really? Spend a day farming revives. Ok sure. Because we should all just dedicate our entire lives to get validation from a game. How bout some of us just want to play up to an hr a day & not watch multiple vids as well?
I’m doing fine so far but haven’t got to the final chapters. Don’t think I’m going to bother tho. Because of the increased time it takes. It’s a significant increase.
I don’t even care for a big bump in rewards I just want it to not to be such a drain on my time and frankly it’s more boring now. Not more challenging and fun, just longer & boring.
Hey, hate to be whining, but the difficulty spike genuinely is unfair for UC and i guess cav too. I did love the challenging fight of the UC EQ Absorbing man (can't imagine how worse it'll be for Cav) but it's ridiculously unfair. Please keep this for all the thronies and Paras who keep complaining about the game's boring difficulty, and leave us in peace. As it is, the story quests are not that easy either. Please Kabam!
Thanks for the advice but how many of these champs in act 6 can you beat with a 4*? As stated please reduce the difficulty of act 6 I don't believe you can beat even the first fight of 6.1.1 with a 4*. It's just not fair to make fights this hard.
. Please keep this for all the thronies and Paras who keep complaining about the game's boring difficulty, and leave us in peace. As it is, the story quests are not that easy either. Please Kabam!
Majority of us hate these changes just as much. Event quest is for learning the new champs whilst earning rewards. We don’t want to spend 30+ minutes doing a single path at full concentration after long a day a work for rewards that take 7 months to rank up 1 6* to r4

Why was the difficulty of any EQ changed just because you added a higher level? Makes no sense that the lowest difficulties were increased. Brand new accounts don't need higher difficulty especially without the rewards getting better. New accounts need difficulties in between the difficulty or story mode to help them progress to the next act not content more difficult than the acts they are trying to finish.

The difficulty is the same for uncollected. what a joke and rewards the same... so what's the change here?
The difficulty isn't the same for Uncollected. It's been taken down a peg.
I don't know if you are a spoke person for them but you know its still very difficult for the new player and average one and with the same rewards (if the rewards were better then it can be a motivation) its not even worth doing it but if Kabam wanted players to have more challenge they were always welcome to start cavalier, how it always was but at their pace not forcing it like this, it will make players leave the game, its very frustrating when you cant beat something... so with the changes made yesterday this still does not make any sense and they should keep working on finding a better solution to all of this.

what he said.... the story quests keeps getting harder and harder that it will impossible to catch up. We have lots of very hard content already that personally I will never beat. UC EQ was the only decent thing a lot of people was able to beat with decent rewards to not fall behind -_-
The updated monthly EQ running is still b.s. and makes it not even worth running. Update the rewards accordingly and maybe it would be worth running. It shows how out of tune they are with the player base. No one thought the monthly EQ needed changes other than another level of difficulty to complete for end game players. You’ll see more people quitting over this than spending for potions and revives like they hope to get.

If you don't like the eq don't do it. The increase in lower difficulty is long overdue. New accounts are getting rank 3 5*s before entering act 5. Just because he doesn't agree with you on the difficulty doesn't mean he works for kabam. If lower level players feel it's too hard go do other content there are lots of options available.

yeah this is not about liking or not liking... there are indeed so many options but are the rewards worth it to progress? EQ are been used to get resources to advance but if we cant get decent ones whats the point of even playing this game.

Why are important announcements like this being made in a thread that’s 500+ replies deep and not made in a stand-alone announcement thread or in -game?
I really think Kabam need to go back and look at its core goals and objectives for the game. They’ve nerfed the opening act content to make the game easily accessible and not road block players. But now they are adding a road block to monthly side quests. The slight change made doesn’t really do a whole. These additional quests each month should be easier than permanent content. The rewards as such should be lower than the permanent story content rewards. In RPG games you do side quests to level up your champions so they can tackle permanent content. If you can’t do the permanent content, do more side quests, level up and then tackle the harder permanent stuff.
We often see posts “act 6 is too hard” or I can’t do this Variant what’s your advice. The prevailing advice is, be patient and do the monthly content and side quests. Build up your roster.
What advice do we give now. Do an easier monthly event quest with rewards that don’t do anything to progress accounts. So what’s the answer here? Unless you’re very highly skilled give up because this game isn’t for you? That doesn’t seem right. Or should the answer be look in the top right hand corner, go to the unit store and buy an Odin to use on revives.

This needs to be reposted as a main thread @Wozzle007 , great point that Kabam needs to consider
OK. I went into Uncollected EQ, Chapter 1. Here’s the team I took:
Keep in mind, this is the Science Ascendancy quest — I am not getting the Attack boost. This is just me, just playing.
Rhino lane, 5/50 Professor X, so I can get the Mutant/X-Men Special Attack boost:
I lost Iceman to the Tigra, because of a dropped input. Just the truth. But it actually worked out OK because I could vulture another Persistent Charge for Professor X.
Next up: Drax. Took him solo with Professor X, picking up another Persistent Charge, but I forgot the photo.
Next up: Doctor Octopus, with, as you can see, a 3/30 Magneto:
Seriously: What are we even talking about, here?
Yes, it is more challenging. It is. About 80K-110K health pools.
But you can literally clear it with 4-stars! I didn’t even have the Science Ascendancy attack boost going — I shudder to think what a Scorpion or IHulk or IBom would do with a 30 PERCENT ATTACK BOOST.
Come on, people — I am not even a very good player. I have some skill and experience, but there are absolutely a ton of players who are better than me.
What are we even talking about, here?
bruh we dont care about the difficulty increase, is what IKON is saying You cannt autofight it. Waste of time to tap tap tap on lower difficulties.
How is that a priority? People at the Paragon (even TB) level aren't depending on those lower Difficulties for the Rewards to progress. There's easier ways to earn a few Units.
so basically what I predicted a few days ago is what Kabam is doing. Lower the difficulty but still have it higher than last month hoping people are happy with it not being as high as they had it last week....and no bump up in rewards.
If we don't get a bump up in rewards next month to match the extra time the higher difficulty will take I am done with this game. This game should be fun not a chore. Guess I should be happy it will save me 500+ on July 4th, another 500+ in November and another 500+ in December.

But why though? If your answer is that they are getting higher ranked champs faster, then they can attempt higher difficulties. Why the buff to the lower difficulties? And if your answer to people who are providing feedback on difficulty is to not do content, then what is even the point of having this content? And I am not entirely sure if kabam wants people to stop doing content since that was one of the reason for them nerfing act 6 and simplifying future story acts. Not enough people were playing act 6.
I also disagree, i think they are all harder with the same rewards, which imo is not acceptable. Whether or not you can auto fight a difficulty is irrelevant, i think they are just using that as a point of reference i.e they could do it before and not now! When you consider there are new and progressing players doing these quests i personally think they have upped the difficulty too much and given nothing back in terms of resources for progression. Ipso facto if you make something more difficult then you should get better rewards!
