Unfortunately for me, the forums themselves are ironically not considered a valid content delivery platform.
And I’m fine with premium offer pricing as long as the offers are even kind of relevant. Recently, most aren’t.
Crumbs of a crumb that one day add up to a collection of crumbs to eventually rank a single champ a single rank. A single catalyst when the game requires 10 or a dozen or more to register any meaningful impact on a champ.
Premium pricing is fine. Combining it with a wildly inflated opinion of value is ridiculous.

What I would prefer to see happen, if the reception was, indeed, positive, that you release the information to the masses, basically, well, today.
I would totally understand if it was the opposite, if the reception was chilly. You wait and work on it some more.
But right now... it’s a weird place that we’re in with the game. Maybe even in the world, without ascribing too much hyperbole.
But to me, right now, this community could use a little excitement. Maybe even a little hope.
People just want the game to be fun and they want to feel like the developers want the experience, financial and time investment to be worthwhile.
I would release information today, but that is just me. I am aggressive about these things. Because if the information is out there, it’s out there. Everyone who is a stakeholder can share in it
The CCP will get some looks ahead from time to time to both provide us with concentrated feedback, but also to help them prepare to make content that better educates players on new content.
This information we shared with the CCP was about content that we've been working on for a while now and is almost ready to share with the world. We'll release all of this information to players as soon as it's ready, and that's not too long from now!
There isn't a single person who doesn't want a great outcome, and I think this platform can deliver that
For example, a lot of people think it is crazy that Kabam still offers 4* stuff for high prices. But that's entirely correct for an F2P game: of course no end game person would buy those unless they were trying to spend Brewster's millions. So we can say with absolute certainty that that offer generates no impact on the higher game whatsoever. The only people who would buy such an offer are people who a) are still progressing through the lower parts of the game, b) are really impatient, because those things aren't hard to get, and c) made of money.
We want their money. They aren't going to miss the money. MCOC gets more revenue. And none of us notices any power creep associated with that spending. That's not silly, or ridiculous, or out of touch, or living in the past. That's F2P monetization perfection.
Whenever the game convinces someone to spend cash and I don't notice any impact on the game, that's the kind of spending I want to see in a game I'm playing. It is one step away from the game setting up a Patreon page.
Not every offer is like that. Some are designed to entice people to spend, hoping to convert a free to play player into a spender. $0.99 crystals are like that. The Sigil itself is like that. Some are designed to offer the occasional block buster package, like the July 4 offers, because sometimes you have to excite the spenders. But whenever the game can get rich people to spend a lot of money on nothing, they should take every such opportunity to sell "irrelevant" things.
I think people assume that if Kabam puts out an offer for a toothpick for a hundred dollars, it is because they are deluded into thinking toothpicks are worth a hundred dollars or they are trying to mind control people into thinking that toothpicks are worth a hundred dollars. But that's not the case at all. They are saying, look, its a toothpick. Don't buy it unless you really want a toothpick and a hundred dollars means less to you than a toothpick.
I didn't freak out about it, call the developer a bunch of liars or incompetents because they couldn't deliver. Because I understood I was getting information that wasn't ready for prime time yet. The CCP people know this as well, and won't in general react that way if Kabam has to change plans or change course. But there's lots of people who would. It is *precisely* the things they are the most excited about that are the most dangerous to release information about prematurely. Because the players can get super hyped up for it only to be disappointed if anything changes.
I’ve enjoyed this game that is why ive continued playing for almost 3 years despite the constant grind. I’ve spent occasionally, but mostly free to play. I have done almost every content the game has to offer except act 6 exploration and abyss and been in a t2 alliance and 400m aq score.
Why i decided to quit the game?
1- Flow has been horrible quake, guillotine 2099 and crossbones are the only realistic options to deal with most fights. Got quake a month and a half back and had to learn how to play her and rank 5 her even though i didn’t want to nor enjoy playing with her but guess what with the current state of the game its imperative to do so for war and act 6 both.
2- Wanted to do abyss at least an initial run but guess what i don’t have the right options for it and even if i decide to do it and push myself with some of the champs i have i’d be spending 8000 units instead of approximately 4000 that id need with the right champs.
So I decided abyss can wait ill start on 6.3 or 6.4 exploration and ding ding ding again i don't have the right champs for most paths, every path has super niche counters and I have over 90 5 stars and 20 6 stars and i still don’t have the right counters, so guess what its more wait, hope to pull a doom, a human torch, a guillotine 2099, or a symbiote supreme something that gets me motivated.
3- Nearly 2 months since my act 6 exploration was put on hold ive opened a ton of 5 star crystals a few 6 star crystals and guess what? all trash, stuck at rank 1 with multiple dupes. don’t remember all but the last 14 5 stars have all been dupes of some of the worst champs in the game who don't have any uses in the game apart from being arena fodder, that includes 3 luke cage dupes in a row and 3 hela dupes in a row. Here’s the best part i was looking at champion releases and i haven’t pulled a champ released after JULY 2019, not a single champ released over the past 10 months. This doesn’t just include basic 5 star hero crystals, I’m talking featured cavaliers, basic cavaliers, featured and basic 5 star hero crystals. Of my 20 6 stars i only use 1 regularly, and two more that can be occasionally useful for their utility.
I think it is fair to say a lot of the players play for getting their hands on new champs that is what keeps it interesting but what is the point when you’re never getting the. Then you clear some of the hardest content for the great rewards and instead pull trash champions all that effort was for nothing. My act 6.2 6.3 6.4 completion rewards all turned out to be useless all dupe champs, dupes ill never use, 1 new 6 star from a featured that has no relevance to the current state of the game and if it wasn’t for the solo level up event he wouldn’t even be levelled up. Incursions run another dupe, lol completion more useless dupe. so no matter what content i do if i don’t have a chance of pulling one of the only 20 champs that are relevant at the stage i am whats the point.
The game needs to make more champs usable, it shouldn’t be just 20 25 champs and the rest be useless but at the same time making champs more usable shouldn’t mean being forced to use certain champs like 6.3. The champs need to be more accessible, not just for whales who open 1000 featured cavaliers every month because even if some people want to not everyone can afford that. Lastly, the content shouldn’t be a nightmare where the only way to get content done is to buy your way through it, flow is ridiculous anyone who plays the game can tell you spend enough boosts and revives and potions and you’d still be able to do it but thats not how it should be. Same with act 6, story content thats tailored to just 15-20 champs out of a 170 makes no sense.
Your comment suggests the depth to which overvaluation runs in game doesn’t phase you. I would suggest that offers are a symptom, but not the problem. The fact that the team can get away with peddling $100 toothpicks to compulsive spenders doesn’t render such pricing rational or relevant.

In part this is a cultural thing. In Asia, you can't generally get away with low value cash offers. They are considered insulting. But contrawise, pay to win, even pay to play, is considered perfectly acceptable. The cultural norm is spenders should get more than non-spenders, because spending is a perfectly acceptable way to get ahead in a game, just like in life. And there is a strong social stigma against people who spend less complaining about what the people who spend more get. Free to play players should shut up and take what they get, even if literally 80% of the game is behind a paywall. Like, the for-real kind of paywall where spending is the only way to get there, not the pretend paywall where spending gets you there faster, and impatient people complain.
In Western games, the opposite tends to be true. Pay to win either makes the game marginal, or kills it outright. Paying players can be seen as getting faster, but not overwhelmingly more. That's not my opinion in either case, this is just the way the respective markets work. That's why it is so difficult to make a microtransaction-based game work in both markets without a lot of overhaul. cf: Man Wei Ge Dou, aka the original MCOC Chinese version.
Second, you can characterize it any way you wish, but it goes both ways. If I'm indifferent to exploiting compulsion, you're ignorant of fundamental game economics and judgmentally insulting to the people who keep your game alive. Characterization is a judgment, not a statement of fact.
This characterization seems to be the kind of thing people are more bold about when it comes to video games. People who would never tell someone to their face that spending $250 a month on Starbucks is stupid would tell them spending $100 a month on a video game is ridiculous. I once upgraded a flight to Tokyo from coach to first class because I decided I wanted to take a nap on the plane. That was a two thousand dollar nap. I don't recall anyone telling me I was a "compulsive spender" for doing it or that the airline was taking advantage of me. A live concert costs $99, the CD costs $29. Nobody says live concerts are irrational in the face of cheaper alternatives.
Unless you're buying a gold brick, the value of the things you buy tends to be largely subjective. And you shouldn't judge, or even assume you have any way to evaluate, how someone else judges value.
To answer your direct question: Actually I thought about it, because over the long haul T2A is one of my bigger bottlenecks. And I'm neither a compulsive spender or a weak willed individual when it comes to offers. I decided not to, but it was close.
$50 is a lot of money to a lot of people, but honestly its a tiny fraction of my normal entertainment budget that currently sits mostly untouched, given that these days I'm not really going anywhere. Covid has axed two trips and currently threatening a third. And I was thinking about NYCC before Kabam cancelled.
But yeah, it is a $50 toothpick. Less, even. I've played games that have eventually shut down. I've spent a lot of money on games that have eventually shut down. I know every cent I spend is not getting me anything material or permanent: it is completely temporary. I am paying for an experience, like visiting the Grand Canyon (although it was a bit foggy that day), and the experience is worth whatever I choose to spend on it. And then, like Kaiser Soze, its gone.
My suggestion is to update them according to progression, 'cause in the AQ store there are just the default ones that give minimum 2.4k gold and, let's be honest, not even buying 50 of those are enough to take a 5* r1 champ to minimum r3*.
Also alliance credits shop (or whatever you call it) should be updated, there are just some class serums, potions or revives at a high cost, boosters are easy to get but the cost should also be reduced according to progression, perhaps (if devs are generous) add cavs (REAL cavs, without 3*), signature crystals, nexus crystals, UC gold crystals and legendary crystals.
Thank you for reading and I really hope some of this features could be added to the game and not be another proposal that is being ignored .
I mean true mcoc has many problems bro. But seatin kinda pushed and cornered himself towards a burn out.
I mean what do u expect.
Going continue on crystal opening & with new champs, after a certain time it has to feel monotonous. Too much options. I still enjoy holy Trinity.
They push for new content in between 24 hours.
And well.
Obviously they are bored.
Way too many maxed out rank 5 champs. But still going for only high tier damage champ for obvious reasons. To finish content quickly. When he does live stream of uncollected monthly eq. Why do u think he brings Cyclops and rocket? He actually enjoys playing with a different champs.
That's the whole point this game is also a collect all type games eventually u will end up having every champ.
U will end up completing every game mode. That's the point.
Not Taking anything away from him as skill wise obviously. But may be don't push for legends run all the time.
Just give yourself break. And travel alliances etc.
Build up a good friend circle etc. Surely he has that.
From iso8
4loki
Now omni.
Understandable he needs new content idea for utube.
His main source of income.
Make sense. If the game itself becomes boring for him for obvious reasons.
What can u do.
He has started 7 deadly sins channel too. I mean yeah u can try new games or may be go for injustice. That will pick up some speed cz of DC.
YouTubers or whales they are a part of the community. Not the face.
They are players like us. We all have different prospective about this game.
Some are happy with just uncollected tittle.
Some are happy with Cavilier.
They still enjoy the basic cz they have tittles & champs to collect.
Context I’m at 6.2.6 champion, elders. Done about 70% of variants in total. Playing a year or so out of last 18m. account size circa 450k.
1. Cav eq desperately needed. Uncollected is not a challenge at all bar the odd boss. Therefore a chore for rewards and not too fun.
2. At my level variant content is perfect, challenging, pushes my fairly lean roster. more fun that act 6. I’ll agree I like the content that is hard but rewards skill rather than increasingly only punishes mistakes. I’d like to see a new eq at this level and more variant style content, it’s really fun!
3. Incursions are awesome, again it can be very challenging, I generally top out at room 9-10 sector 7 at the moment but it’s such good fun getting there and using champs I otherwise have collecting dust like red skull for eg. I’d like to see incursions expanded to allow more grinding for rewards, more shards, more gold, Units for eg, as it stands it’s all over very quickly in the month and I’d much rather do this than arena. Also a solo version would be incredible, and allow more flexible play and grinding. Maybe open up the available rewards to cater to more end gamers post room 10 or something...6* shards or whatever...
4. Champion acquisition needs something along the lines of nexus crystals or class crystals for a similar price to featured. There’s too many champs now and in later content counters are too niche. A lot of champs really need high sig or synergy teams. I don’t want to wait 12 months to pull a Roadblock champ when I have the skill to finish the fights otherwise. I accept the RNG but maybe allow us to narrow it down a little.
5. AW I won’t comment on much as far from a priority in our alliance but generally rewards not worth the time put in and happy to opt out or just log in for some silver rewards.
6. AQ I don’t gave a massive problem with doing map5/6 but any QOL improvements would be welcome.
7. Champion buffs - you guys did such a good job on all recent buffs, I’ve taken OML, colossus to r5, she hulk r5 imminent, venom r4. It’s just a shame the majority of the iconic characters are so basic and underpowered. Hulk, magneto, GG etc need making relevant. The gap also between a ghost/Corvus and the lesser champs is so vast it would be great to make the bottom section of the pool in general more useable either by buffs or new synergies or more content like incursions that can make lesser champs shine in more than just one path of one quest so it’s actually worth ranking them.
8. Alliance and solo event rewards desperately need a revamp to include 5* sig stones and other relevant rewards to alliance size or solo progression. The top prizes being 4* stones or shards seems a bit odd even by the time you get uncollected.
9. More freedom to play with masteries would be good. Remove the cost or rearranging once opened up.
