You’ve not been around for Acid Wash Mysterio?
I got TB from abyss and 5k units doing so and also uniting the GM down... If the 10 or so people in my alliance who are still cav can get this easier, than I did, then frankly I am delighted.
As @DNA3000 said, they still have to get past the champion and the GM. For the first time, around 5 or so long term Cavs in my alliance are really pushing through story content as they can see, with SOP that they can get to TB. Some of them are still hating those two fights, and Medusa and capiw and really struggling. But they can see a purpose to it now.
Rather than getting the GM down and having to contemplate abyss or 100% act 6 plus all recent variants.
That's only a good thing. Rank 4s and 5s are coming whether we like it or not and having TB as a necessary stage that seems reasonable for nearly every player is the right move, rather than expecting them to have to grind abyss as well.
That leads to the death of the game just as much as making TB more readily available over time.
I'm TB already, and if I can ENJOY the challenge, get QUALITY REWARDS, then so what if non-TB players succeed... GOOD FOR US ALL!!!
1. Kabam did overpromise in terms of describing the Difficulty. It definitely is not content for people who do Abyss as a vacation.
2. The type of rewards are separate from that, although since the expectation is that rewards are Abyss level, the expectation is that the content would be Abyss level.
However, Kabam can choose to do whatever rewards it wants - they could have announced SoP where the only reward is a Profile pic for rank milestones.
It doesn't matter whether the rewards currently are 'too good' or not.
It does not matter whether 50% of current Cavaliers become TB once the SoP rewards come out, or that they did not 'become TB the right way.'
The main implication with having more TB players after SoP, is that now there is a bigger pool of players, that Kabam has more of an incentive to design things for. For example, it makes more sense to devote resources to designing content for 10% of the players, compared to 1% of the players. The flipside of this benefit is that difficulty might be watered down.
Second, those players buying those deals keep the game going. If my choice is, they can buy to progress faster than you, or we can shut the game down, it's a pretty obvious choice.
Good old times
The logical person feeling affected by other’s progression in the game relative to their own would be more upset at Kabam offering players the chance to pay to progress via units or $ rather than at Kabam for offering some T5CC fragments and a 6 star over the course of several months.
SMH.
How is this post any different? It's just in reverse from entitled "end gamers" saying it's too easy.
Always gotta poopoo the new content Kabam puts out with these " it's too easy" or please "nerf the rewards"posts. Give it a rest already. Play the game, or don't if you don't like it.
Seriously, why are you so adamant at trying to prevent others from getting decent rewards for clearing content as it was made available? Because it wasn't "easy" for you when you were progressing your roster? Who cares?! Content will always be easy for some people and only gets easier for others as rosters grow, providing more counters
And, this isn't a walk in the park for people who don't have giant rosters, a specific champ (at all or ranked) and hardly anyone is using 3/4* or could even have a chance with them (Ronan cheese being an exception for those with him).
Kabam knows what their doing to keep the game interesting for the majority of the player base (80/20 rule). It does not revolve around just the top players and, if I'm being honest, y'all complain here on the forum more than anyone else.
Kabam have all the data they need to make informed decisions about player progression. If they feel it's time to graduate players who have the roster depth to beat SOP & have already completed Act 6, then it's probably time. Also, with t6b and t3a muddling about in the game now, I would expect that a new title is on the horizon within the next year or so.
