Hey everybody, thank you all for your feedback. We're hearing a lot about the Milestones (which is great), but if you have any other feedback, like on matches/deathmatches etc., please make sure to share that too.
Additionally, please keep your feedback constructive. If you do or don't like something, tell us why. I've cleaned up a lot of posts that tell us how they feel, but not what the reason is. Actionable feedback is always best, and to get to that, we need to understand the concern itself.

Let me clear this up for you. In terms of gaining an infinite streak and avoiding death matches arenas are working jsut fine to my knowledge. There's not much more to say on that issue.
Back to the topic at hand. Arena milestones is what has people in an uproar. This is a clear nerf. At a minimum you can put the 4 star arena milestone cutoff back to 1.5 million. At a minimum.
This is evolution of game???? 4* is not worth to play and in 6* arens u cant reach milestones!!!!....it means that KABAM lowered rewards for more than double !!!! KABAM FIX THIS IMMEDIATELY!!!!
OK... after going through the arena personally, I can give my perspective. The idea of more number of milestones is great, but the number of points you need to get them is astronomical. Tbh, if there was only 1 arena with 400 units for 16 mil, I'm sure almost no one would complain, though I understand that is not possible as it's too much for one arena. The least they could have been done is reduce the points to keep the final milestone between the 4* and 5* featured, at 8-10 mil, but no. Also, the ranked rewards are barely worth anything compared to the enormous amount of energy you require to achieve them Lastly, this large scale hurts the mid range f2p players who have no other source of units, as I'm sure for most of them, their earnings will be cut in half, which will widen the gap between spenders and f2p. There SHOULD be a gap as it's a free game, but the gap should not widen so much constantly I hope this post will help Kabam, as I've really tried to explain what I feel is wrong with this arena
Milestones are too high, even for arena grinders. It’s not a quality of life change grinding way more for the same rewards. All milestones need to drop down by a 30%-50% and the deathmatches issue needs to be addressed, else this arena change is the worst change in 2021 if not the worst since v12. Hope you guys do something for this asap, cause it basically now a serious aspect of the game as arena, is nearly ruined.
This was the last content which was still in favor of the FTP players but seems like kabam really hates FTP players.. now it will take way more time to gather units.. my personal experience.. I used to do the featured 4* star arena and get all milestone at 4 million which gave me 135 units and for 5* arena I used to do around 3- 4 million and get around 30-45 units total let say 165 units now if I do both milestones put together arena which is 8 million.. coz I have time for this much grind only I get 90-110 units only which is a big difference. The message is clear from Kabam FTP PLAYERS QUIT THE GAME
You have given free to play and occassional spenders a BIG reason to quit. Do you think people enjoy spending 2 hours a day grinding arena? You had to make it 4 hours ?? Arena is boring and was always in poor taste. Only reason most do it is to get some units , we dont play your game all day long. Now you have given us a reason to quit all together. Every week you do something in the negative direction.
I’ll leave my 2 cents here. Basically the milestones are way too high. The arena update is awful! If you want to keep the milestone reduce the refresh rate of 6* by 50%. All unit milestone should be increased by 5 units. Featured 6* milestone should give cav shards in the amount of 50% from the gm shards.
Bottom line. I am an almost 5 year player, i spend some on offers and lately I am losing my interest. If you want to improve the game, and I mean really improve the game, bring something to the game that actually makes me want to login and play. Better arena rewards, more crystal shards, etc. i kept my hope that this game, this single game, won’t turn out as another mobile cash grab, but I guess I was wrong. You do everything in you power to make it as addictive as possible, offer the bare minimum rewards, and forcing your players spending huge amounts of time in game doing repetitive and pointless stuff like arena griding.
Now, lets do some rough math. I used to grind the 4* arena with 4 and 5 stars, and used to run ~50 streak to get all the unit rewards and hit the 4 million milestone. With the current set up, I can no longer get those rewards due to encountering death matches due to the 6 star rank 2/3 opponents. Each of the new 4-6 arena has all milestones of 16.5 million.
A six star rank 2 gives me 70K points. a 5 star gives me ~30K at 3X multiplier (forget the 15 fights to ramp up to 3x points). Now, if we keep an alarm and do the fights as and when the champion refreshes (honestly I cant do that as I have a life outside this game), a six star champion will give 140K per day and 5 stars will give ~90K per day. If you go into this arena with only 5 stars, you have to win 550 games (or 183 win streak) to get almost the same units as the previous 4-5 star arena. To realistically get there, you will need ~60 champions that are rank 4/5 (you can use a champion at max 3 times a day, and max of 9 times in the 3 day period - 550/9 = 61). Dont even think about taking rank 2 or rank 3- you will be decimated by the aggressive matchup being thrown. Is this "making life easier"? This is just one arena there is one more to be climbed.
Now lets take a case where you do only using 6 star champions. Most average players like me will have few rank 2/3 6 stars, and most as rank 1 level 25. Assuming an average of 70K point per win, getting this 16.5 million will need ~236 wins (win streak of ~79) over the 3 day period. Since you can use your six star champion only twice per day, and one champion can be used at max 6 times in any arena cycle, you will need ~39 six star champions and mostly ranks 2 and 3 (as ranks ones done have a chance with the rank 3 that the match engine is throwing at us).
PS: These are the scenarios if you are spending your time entirely on the game as the refresh duration for 6 star and 5 star champions are different and you will have to spend your time waiting for the champions to refresh and always use them within an hour of refresh.
@Kabam Miike : sorry to tag you here, but i think this is the fact most of us are thinking about.
I spend $100-150 dollars per year, typically spending 5000 units on July 4 and Black Friday. If I did arena, I’d do this:
One round with 3x boosted 3-stars for 10 units. 7 rounds of 4-stars for 30 units.
Occasionally i would return for 5 rounds of 4-stars at 15 units per set. If I wanted a few shards or units from arena wins, I’d try for 1-2mil in the 4-5-6 arena.
In addition to all that has been said another concern for me is the increase in the grind time in arena
In the previous system I used to hit all milestones of 4* basic,4* featured and 5* featured but now not only can I not grind all the milestones of the 3 arenas but the game forces me to use all of my 5 and 6* champs right when the arena starts so that I could have them available to me in 12 hours in order to hit as many milestones as possible by using 6* in the featured and 5* in the basic 6* arena.
Whereas earlier I just needed to use my 6* champs right when the arena started for the 5* featured arena and then I could take the other 2 arenas at my pace as I just needed 2 sittings with my 5* champs to get all milestones of 4* featured and a few runs with my maxed 4* for the milestones of 4* basic.
This is just a recipe of burnout...i for one cannot keep up this pace for more than a couple weeks as best
i hope kabam gives this a week wait to let everyone have an chance to really play arena and then say their feedback (including me as i'm already playing it right now, because last time they did the arena change it was reverted too quick)
Honestly I feel for newer to intermediate players to some extend. I get it you get that feeling you are falling behind. We have all been there at some point in our journey (which is endless by the way). The mentality that you won’t progress with the new arenas throw it out the window. You will, I would like to inform you that there is no competition in this game to be first and top of the top, nor you will earn more money (real money) for being at the top. Have fun kabam will not tell you stop playing the game because your are low level. Keep doing you, again have fun. One day without even notice you will have ton of 6* and 5*s that you won’t even be able run through all of them on the arenas (unless you have no other life besides the game, of course.) not judging just saying. Do I like the new arenas? Not really. Why? Well for starters the 5* and 6* basic pool should be higher and give the exclusivity to the new champions (or featured arena) in other words I don’t care much for it as I always do just the milestones anyways.
With the higher milestones IMO deathmatches, if at all, should be harder to get. If I ever want to get the 3* featured, I'd need to be able to put in my r2 4* and r1 5* champs as well
Guys...I am seriously disappointed. Last year you came out and promised us the world on game changes. On most you delivered, on others you didn’t. Then you announced the new roadmap, and we were optimistic. You announce changes to the arenas, and I’m thinking to myself this will be great. But I logged in now and see I have to score 33million points to make all milestones. Now if I’m correct, in the past it was 18.1million for all milestones. How do you go about justifying a 15 million point jump? I used to be able to grind and dupe for the featured 3* as well as the basic 4* every week. That was doable over 2 days and I would get a good fair way with the featured 5* arena. This is not a quality of life improvement and has me seriously considering whether I want to continue with the game. I have been playing for 5 years now, and I could look past some other issues in the game. But this one change has put me as a f2p player at a massive disadvantage. You have screwed us over with this. The whales with the stacked rosters of 6*s will have a field day now, while those of us that don’t spend will have to grind non-stop to get for what we casually had to play for in the past. I don’t think any of your own devs have played this arena to check whether what you’re presenting is good. You have become like EA where you screw over the player base for your own selfish reasons. Fix this issue or you’ll see more and more people leave this game. This is a game breaker

The main reason is that with this change in the structure of the arenas, the economy of the game turns against the average summoner.
It sets very disproportionate economic parameters, not to mention time parameters. It encourages a cannibalization of both units and resources; It is then that, by imposing such high milestones and difficulties of such unbalanced matches, when playing arenas, everything translates in terms of economic efficiency, as a waste of time and effort.
Cannibalization ... is not good for the MCOC economy itself because it does not encourage productivity or account progress, ergo, it affects the sustained growth and life expectancy of the game.
The Milestones are too high and need to be readjusted
I feel that the 1-4* Arena should be reduced so that final Milestone is 1.7 Million.
The 6* Basic Arena should be reduced to 8 Million to hit all milestones
The 6* Featured Should be reduced to 14 Million ideally to hit all milestones.
This should bring it inline with amount of time it used to take to grind all the arenas before.
This then may need a readjustment of the amount of rewards, where you may feel that some units, shards and BCs need to be moved from the basic to the featured to balance out the effort required to get x amount of rewards.
Or you could simply bring the basic and featured milestones down to 11 Million, leaving the units. shards, BCs amounts the same.
From my own account perspective I have 53 6* which means in one sitting i hit about 3.5 million points. That would mean it would take me 5 refreshes/sessions to hit the 16.5 million milestone over the 3 day period. This leaves only enough time to use my 6* one more time for the basic. ( 16.5 - 4.5 from the 6* i could use in basic means i would need to grind out 12 million from the 5*, which is a lot)
In regards to death matches etc , I didn't have any issues but i was using maxed out champs so not really an issue when doing that.
Worst change ever. I use to think people at Kabam played the game. This is obviously not true. No one who plays this game would ever allow such a monstrosity to happen. Completely tone def. Way to say " We hate you players "
