Did you even read the thing yourself? Nothing in there even suggests a 5* ban.
Do you know what you and all the other people on this bandwagon mean to seatin and other end game content creators? Ad revenue. Nothing more.
yeah i read it kid and restricting 5*s is right in the same area. Its unnecessary and their explanation of "gates" for 4*s is a joke. So how about you read it son.
First of all, the "flag" button isn't a "dislike" button, mate. Trying to insult me by calling me a kid, while pretty pathetic as an attempt, is actually worth a flag, though. This might help you understand the concept.
Moving on.
Again, did you read it? It says absolutely nothing about a 5* ban. It even mostly talks about making 5* and 6* champs easier to acquire. It hints at certain paths in missions after 6.1 maybe requiring you to have X amount of 5*/6* champs in your team. But calling that a 5* ban is way above semantics. It's just plain old not understanding how words work. Or, still my guess, you actually did not read the whole message.
i read it son and its a restriction. My guess is that your roster doesnt even meet the requirements for act 6.1 anyways so why are you even arguing. whats your ign. Prove me I'm wrong fanboy.

You even english...? Please, stay on topic.
Did you read the message yet?
The gent named umberto says you even english. Ive read it... and its garbage. You posting every other minute rambling that it isn't wont make it any less garbage.
And that's supposed to make... Sense... I guess?
Okay, look as much as I like turning around in circles, I'd like you to do one thing for me:
Once you finally got to read the whole message yourself, please quote the part that mentions a 5* ban and/or restriction.
Then, although I already quoted and explained that already, I can tell you exactly where your cognitive dissonance stems from.
I might even find an even easier to digest analogy to explain the concept to you then.
Oh, also again, the "flag" button is not a "dislike" button. Flag is spelled f-l-a-g and dislike is spelled d-i-s-l-i-k-e. See the difference?
you post 12 times a day kid. That's insane. What's your ign. I bet you arent even ready for act 6 and you're just being dim and want to try and ensight rage. Which you won't get troll. You even english??? umberto?
Let's look at this from a players point of view....
This whole game has a fundamental basis in **building a roster**, which means acquiring the most powerful champs now, AND using lesser *s to fill in gaps for synergy or champ utility, where RNG has not favored us, to accomplish tasks/complete content. I would say that is one of MCOC's most appealing features (that we love), as with any collection based game. We take pride in what we have built, and get the sense of continued value with present use. Kabam wants to remove that from significant, upcoming content eagerly awaited by the player base. (Sure, the gate doesn't apply to all content, but if anything, this one would be most significant. As well as, even more broad restrictions to follow.) From the vast majority of player's POV, there isn't anything appealing about a game design that removes that fundamental appeal in such a broad sweep in forward moving content. Some may be indifferent, and even less, accepting.
Did Kabam really expect players to jump up and down with excitement over the 4* gate?!!! Seriously! What player is saying to themselves, "Wow, what a great decision. I wish I would have thought of not using any lesser *s. I should just start playing all future content with only 5* and 6* champs, even where there is no gate. It will thoroughly enrich my game, and play experience by making significant moments (etc), and vastly make this game more fun." NO ONE!!!!
We tolerate or even find it acceptably challenging to see *some, limited* champ restrictions here and there (path or chapter), because we might explore other champs for the task, but an entire gate of 4* or less, is absurd. That doesn't make anything more challenging, or move us to other strategies. It simply just [[ creates a demand ]] for a higher * champ, that we most likely already have in a lesser *. That's the contradiction, and why players are upset (and where the cash grab theories come from). It doesn't make sense, especially given the explanation you have given, and goes against what we love about MCOC.

So you're not going to read it then? In that case, please stop responding as long as you aren't willing to put any substance into this general discussion. That would actually be considered spamming.
lol you provide no value ... just nonsense. what's your ign?
One overarching question that has yet to be answered as well is in regards to the statement (and I'm paraphrasing) that the restriction is to enhance the experience in Act 6. That question is, how do only using 5* & 6* champs enhance it?
What does a 4* have (or doesn't have) that is different to a 5* that would make for a lesser experience? 6* do have the unique benefit of adrenaline, but that doesn't explain the allowance of 5* champs.
Perhaps, as posted by others, the "enhanced experience" is more for the developers not seeing their new content "cheesed" through with lower star/rank/class champs.
Developers: "LOL is stacked with 1.5m hp champs and an enrage timer restricted to only the highest level champs" Players:
Developers: "Here's a really hard Emma Frost with power gain for Variant" Players:
Developers: "Here's a Captain Marvel event designed for only the highest of skill players" Players:
Developers: "OK, well then we'll just ban 4* and under"
To me, this just sounds like a "I don't like you guys so I going to take my ball and go home" move by the developers.
We have earned the rosters and resources that we have and are forced to play with only that. IMO, it's a poor move to then undercut the players for using the tools we've earned.
I still think it comes down to synergies for a lot of people. Those that grinder forn hiemdal or need a 4star for one of there trinities. That’s my biggest issue with it. When you have nodes that will put degen on you ever evade it’s important to have champs like Ghulk. But if you are not fortunate to have one in 5 or 6 star, and you do in 4star you should be able to try him. It’s just a bad look, then top it off the BIG win is a crystal that stills gives you 3star champs. LoL
I probably spend $30 a month on this game for units or other offers that are worth the value. I am personally not spending a dime unless this is overturned. I was genuinely excited for this content but now not so much.
Anyone else still spending?
Haven't spent a dime since the $1 player's choice crystal offer was out. Ironically enough, that crystal was for a 4* champ...
Leaving the no 4* BS aside I was honestly expecting to see an 5* Class AG.
btw, I am honestly hating on how there's no control on who you bring into this Act (which is the strategy part of this game). people fill some roster voids with 1-2 4* because they have been not lucky enough to have some champion as a 5-6*. I can see more use of my 4* AA than my 5* Hulkbuster or 6* Storm.
People will be fine. The ones who complain are the ones who will not complete this because they don’t have the roster size. Why bring a 4 star to a fight with 100% degen of the defenders base attack. That’s a KO after 2.5 seconds lol

I'm sad to say I've spent over $1200 the last 12 months but I am done now. Seatin is right that this has turned into a clown fiesta.
It's nice that they can say there are more ways of getting 5 star shards but it can still suck and limit you. What am I going to do with my lvl 60 Groot and lvl 80 Hulkbuster? Nothing, that's what. Especially when you move further into limiting what classes I have to have too and x amount of 6 stars.
How would you feel if they brought back the old feature crystal but not for the brand new champs but something like they did with Blade? Maybe they could run it for a discount of 12k shards and that would let people at least zero in on specific champs and might not effect crystal sales to much. I know if they came out with an Omega Red crystal I’d be all in.
This is genius. Modified idea - all pre-Blade champs can re-run on an announced schedule for a price between a feature and basic. We all know new champs are better. I don’t need everyone with a Corvus.

Noones bringing a 4* to fight.. they'll bring them for synergies.

I agree. People will get through it. The community always finds a solution. Even among the Mid-Tier 5*s, it's possible to find the best possible options. That's just what we do. We find the easiest ways through it. As for Rosters, I can't really comment on who is and who isn't ready, but I've always maintained an attitude of not adhering to the God Tier List alone. It's really wise to look at all options openly. Otherwise you could be sitting around waiting for the perfect Champs, instead of trying to find the best option with what you currently have. It's always an option for people to wait on better pulls, but that doesn't mean they don't have options that are doable. It really just depends on how motivated people are. All this energy on arguing and fighting it could be spent examining what options are workable given the Nodes.

lol the 4* ban is a money grab pure and simple. The gates response is a very poor attempt to say the ban was needed as if some new player was going to wander into act 6 in error. The gate should be elders bane. Devaluing 4* champs isn't the answer and you all know it. Blindly following Kabam on this cash grab shows that you haven't any idea to which you speak.
We wanted to touch on the availability of 5-Star (and 6-Star) Champions. They have been and will continue to be a focus of the Content this year
Similar to Uncollected, reaching Cavalier is going to be major milestone for Summoners. After introducing Uncollected in Act 5 Ch 2, we rolled out content with rewards that helped Summoners reach that progress point, and from there have been adding content and rewards that have (and will) help Summoners reach Cavalier.
As part of the introduction of Act 6 and Cavalier, we will also be introducing more content that will help Summoners gain 5 and 6-Star Champions. Some of that content will include, Champion Challenges, several large meta-events and Event Quests as well as, the next iteration of Back Issues. Additionally, we are taking a look at Arenas to see if we can make 5-Star Champions more accessible.
In preparation to the release of Act 6 we have accelerated the rate at which players can gain 5-Star Shards and the materials to Rank them up. Love Is a Battlerealm, Nick Fury's Recon Initiatives, special events like the Road to Greatness Arena, and Monthly Calendars were designed with 5-Star escalation in mind.
Also, we are slowly adding older Characters as 5-Star Champions, while ensuring that overall game balance is factored into the Champion selection.
The requirements in Chapter 1 are set as a primer for rest of Act 6. Act 6 Chapter 2 and beyond will also have Champion Requirements, including some more stringent ones like paths that have Class Requirements for your entire team, and Rarity requirements where you must bring [X] amount of 5-Star or 6-Star Champions to complete the quest path.
Thank you all for your continued feedback!
You could not be any further out of touch with the community that plays your game and consumes this product. Woefully, painfully out of touch. The hard-gating of star levels is completely unnecessary, and stinks of nothing but wanton whale exploiting cash grab. And, now to go further and say that not only are you gating 4 stars and alienating the bulk of your player base, but your going to gate further (i.e. Require 6 stars ) for some of the content is absurd. Short-sighted, comical horse-sh*^.
I've spent plenty on MCOC. Had fun over 4 years but this game is dead. A raging dumpster fire of a product as soon as these hard gating requirements hit. I for one will be done with it the moment it hits.
Seriously hoping you actually listen to your player base that funds your existence and reverse this tragic disaster of a decision. But, deep down, i know you won't. You still simply enjoy shooting yourselves in the foot too much for that.
This game is going in a direction that may lead to it's end. Act 6 restrictions and possible restrictions on 5* are silly. I have no problem in completing this requirement, but it wipes out a good portion of summoners. If one can use 4* to complete Act 6, it shows skill and something that should be lauded, not restricted. This game is becoming less about skill, more about RNG, and who you pull from 5*/6* crystals.
Are you all that lazy or out of ideas on how to make challenging content that you have to restrict star ratings. Pathetic. Let me say it this way Kabam. Gate the stars of champs allowed in, and I gate my wallet to $0 to you.
So just to confirm, as of act 6 going forward, you have phased out those champions you refuse to release in 5* or 6* versions?
You know who I'm talking about.. Thor, Scarlett Witch, Wolverine, etc.
I read these forums daily, and have yet to see anything from a mod stating a reason why you won't release them.. it's almost laughable how blatantly the topic is ignored. But that's another topic, for another day, and I'm done holding my breath waiting for a reason.
How about a nod or a wink in reply to this one? Are the original fan favorite gods of old (post nerf obviously) being phased out? Leaving us hanging is much worse than just responding.
We've started slowly rolling out some of these Champions, and are always looking to see if we're in a place where those Champions can safely be released. We don't currently have plans to release these Champions, but as you can see from the release of Black Widow, Electro, etc., this could change.
That doesn’t mean it’s fine to block 4*s permanently in act 6. I honestly though after all the backlash from the terrible ideas the team has done in this game, I though you guys would be smarter than do this and screw over the majority of the player base just too make a few extra bucks from the whales.

Please update the rewards. They are ridiculous. It should have been 2 T5B, 6 T2A, 5 star 4 to 5 rank up gem and 1 6 star Crystal.
